- Never feed kibble (dry food), if possible. Even the best kibble in the world is inferrior to a raw or home prepared diet. If you must feed kibble, feed a kibble high in meat-protein. Stay away from grain-based kibble.
- Provide adequate exercise, play, leadership and grooming for your dog.
- Do not over-vaccinate. Vaccines are NOT REQUIRED every year.
- Try to avoid chemical topicals for flea and tick prevention. There are natural alternatives.
- Use stainless steel or high quality ceramic or glass eating and drinking bowls. Plastic/PVC contains harmful toxins to your pet. Plastic can also cause allergies or facial acne
- Use spring or unchlorinated water. If you use tap water, let it sit out for 30 hours so it off-gases the chemicals and chlorine - many chemicals evaporate providing better quality water for your pet.
