Odin R.I.P 1991-2006. Odin is the reason why I fell in love with Pit Bulls. Next to Pit Bulls in the dictionary should be a picture of Odin. Despite Odin's rough start in life (my brother rescued him off the streets), he turned out to be one of the best dogs I have ever known. He loved people and children and got along with everyone. When he passed away the whole family was impacted. But, we are all better people because Odin was in our lives. He had the uncanny ability to sense when you were down and needed comfort. He loved to play and was eager to please. I am crying right now just wriitng this. It's been a while and I still miss him. He was best friends with my oldest Pit Jake. I miss you and love Odin! Love Uncle Jeffrey.
Adam R.I.P. 11/5/2004. We "fostered" Adam in 2002 from a local shelter. Notice how foster is in quotes. Who were we kidding? We knew he was ours the day we brought him home to "foster" him. Well, he stole our hearts right away and became best friends with our other Pittie, Amber. Adam's time with us was way too short. About a month after receiving his vaccinations, his internal organs began shutting down. He lost 27 pounds in 3 weeks. We made the terrible decision to euthanize him. He was the last of our dogs to ever be exposed to over-vaccination. His death has saved many lives. He was also another great ambassador for the Pit Bull breed.
- Lola R.I.P. 1991-2005. She was our 18 year old Shih Tzu Queen of the Pit Bulls. She died in 2005 after a 3 year long bout with Cancer, cushing's disease and other age-related ailments. When she 14, she was given 3 months to live. It was then that my wife and applied our holistic approach to Lola instead of chemical treatment. Raw food along with a natural supplement regimen helped Lola live longer and healthier than anyone would have guessed.
